What’s better than celebrating a birthday with Alice in Wonderland? Preserve these memories with your child.

I believe in anything we enjoy doing, we want someone close to us to experience the thrill of an accomplishment, the excitement of doing something right.  As creative people we are wired that way. We, above anything else, want to say “lookie here, isn’t this cool?” …and have someone agree.

My six year old granddaughter recently explained to me that she wanted a camera just like mine. You can imagine how diligently I searched for a reasonably priced used camera! The day came when she received her new toy, I showed her how to use it, and was pretty certain she would lose interest within 10 minutes. Much to my amazement, an hour later she wanted to see her pictures. We examined them on the computer and some were really pretty cool! As a six year old she has such a different way of looking at the world!

She left me that day and I hope she will find as much joy in her hand-me-down camera as I have found in mine. Fingers crossed that she will be that person that will be next to me asking “isn’t this cool?” And I’ll have to agree.

As I am squirming my way through this obviously impossible task of creating a website, I am amazed at the possibilities we have to connect to one another.

I have , in my later life, been blessed with finding something I truly enjoy. I love to take your picture. I mean REALLY love it. It’s amazing I had never found this affection before…but, now here it is. Better late than never(as they say).

Now here is my tragedy…I am pretty good at taking a picture, but getting it out there to everyone in the universe is a little tricky.
